The Uniplex is Meccanotecnica’s smallest line for gathering and sewing. It is ideally suited for the production of sewn books composed of up to twelve signatures such as diaries, yearbooks, children's books and art catalogues. The Uniplex line is a combination of an MX gathering machine and an Aster sewing machine. The gathering machine can have six, nine or twelve loading stations. The sewing machine can be an Aster 180C, an Aster 180 or an Aster 180/51.

The MX gathering machine, equipped with color touch-screen monitors, is offered as a three or as a four-station module.
