Jacketing Machine |
Amita |
The Amita is a high-speed automatic jacketing machine for hard-cover books. It can operate either as a free-standing machine or as part of a book finishing line. Standard features include a high-capicity flat pile jacket feeder, a Siemens computer control, automated set-up, and mechanical scoring along the front edge and spine (for square backed books). The Flyer 675 lay-down conveyor and Ralindi delivery stacker combine to produce offset piles of jacketed books. |

Sistema loader and
Plus stacker |

These two items are available as options for the Aster 220 SA, the Aster 2000 and the Astronic 180 book sewing machines. The Pre-loader increases loading capacity of the feeder by 36" (80cm). This ensures greater operator comfort and pile uniformity when loading signatures. It also eliminates marking problems by reducing pile pressure in the hopper. The Plus stacker produces uncompensated piles of sewn book blocks and delivers them onto a roller belt near the loading point.

Lega |
The Lega squeeze roller stacker is a universal delivery unit for folding machines. Each signature passes through two pairs of pressure rollers. The first pair removes air so that no wrinkles occour during pressing. The second pair of rollers presses the signature spine with a force of up to 4000 kg. The Lega delivers signatures in compact vertical piles. Pressing of signatures results in higher productivity on all downstream equipment and superior quality of the finished book. |

Legor |
The LEGOR provides a direct connection between a digital web printing system (IBM, OCE etc.) and a standard Aster book sewing machine. Combined with a small folding machine, the digital web printing system produces signatures used to create books. The Legor presses, stacks and feeds these signatures to the Aster, which produces sewn book blocks. A simple disconnect mechanism on the Legor allows the Aster to run signatures from conventional printing and folding systems. |

Ipex 2002 marks the introduction of our new Feedo book block feeder. This compact unit enables manual and in-line feeding of sewn book blocks into a back-gluing machine. For thin blocks maximum feeding speed is 8,000 per hour. To date we have two Feedo installations in Italy. Both complement Magix in-line sewing systems. |
