The GigaLynx is the new development of the SignaLynx, the signature recognition system developed by Meccanotecnica. It is based on the “artificial vision” technology and offers an even higher degree of accuracy with text-only signatures. It features high-speed digital cameras based on the Sony platform, a one-book make-ready, extensive error recognition and operator notification, automatic signature count recognition, automatic setting of sensitivity and tolerance. Minimal operator intervention is required. The bar code reader is available as an option.
The GigaLynx is a standard feature on most Meccanotecnica
equipment, and is available for retrofitting on the majority of modern bindery machines in need of a reliable control system. Thanks to the technology of CCD cameras, it has an extremely high resolution.
